The day before Mischief Night will now be referred to as ‘Mischief Night Eve’ by officials.
Changes to legislature mean that October 29th, the day before Mischief Night (or Mizzy Night on Merseyside), will now be renamed Mizzy Night eve.
It is suggested that youths across Liverpool will get, come down to a new pair of pyjamas, and go to bed early. Tradition holds that if they are well behaved, Father Mischief will come in the middle of the night and bring them eggs, flour and toilet paper.
Particularly naughty children will only get a lump of coal, presumably to be put through someone’s window or a car windshield.
